Alex Rodriguez

Close to four decades of defining the decision environment for California's most critical infrastructure and high-stakes projects.

The Architect of Decision Environments

Alex doesn’t just navigate the political landscape; he builds the architecture that allows his clients to dominate it. Since launching Diversity Consulting Group (DCG) in 1995, he has served as the lead strategic advisor for organizations where failure is not an option.

From the mid-1980s through the present, Alex has counseled a roster of the world's most formidable entities, including General Motors, Sears, Nike, adidas, American Express, and DirecTV. His expertise is not in "getting a meeting", it is in controlling the outcome before the meeting even starts.

"Most organizations lose before they even start because they let the market define their options. We work to define the market based on the client's goals."

Unrivaled Legislative and Regulatory Scrutiny

In a state as complex as California (the 4th largest economy in the world), project viability is won or lost in the legislative and regulatory weeds. Alex’s background as a 6th-degree black belt in Hapkido, practicing martial artists for over 53 years, isn't just a personal detail, it is the lens through which he views high-stakes conflict: using an opponent’s momentum to achieve a decisive result.

His deep integration into California's water, energy, entertainment, and agri-business sectors is backed by institutional appointments from both Republican and Democratic administrations. Alex works to provide a "path to yes" for infrastructure projects that have been stalled by friction or political noise.

Independent by Design

Alex independence is his greatest asset. He does not lobby, he does not accept referral fees, and he does not answer to anyone but the client’s objective.

For close to four decades, Alex has been the person you call when the standard approach has failed and the stakes have never been higher.
